Staple-up heating plates are used in hydronic radiant floor heating systems to improve heat transfer from PEX tubing to the subfloor. Installed beneath existing floor structures, these plates are fastened (or "stapled up") to the underside of the subfloor, with the radiant tubing snapped into preformed channels that hold it in direct contact with the metal.
Constructed from aluminum, these staple-up plates dramatically enhance heat conduction compared to bare-tube installations, providing more even floor temperatures and faster system response. They're ideal for retrofitting radiant heat into homes without disturbing finished flooring, and are often used in conjunction with insulation below to direct heat upward.
