Baseboard / Radiator Emitters
Baseboard and radiator hydronic radiant heating systems are two common methods of delivering heat using water or another fluid as the heat transfer medium. These systems are efficient and provide comfortable, even heating in residential or commercial spaces.
Baseboards
• Design: This system consists of a series of slim, low-profile units installed along the base of walls, typically near the floor. Inside each baseboard unit is a series of metal fins attached to a copper or steel pipe, which carries heated water.
• Operation: Hot water is circulated through the pipe, heating the fins. The fins then transfer heat to the surrounding air, which rises due to convection, creating a cycle that warms the room.
Radiator/Panel Radiators (Low Temp or High Temp models)
• Design: This system uses larger, standalone units, typically mounted on walls or placed on the floor. Radiators are made of cast iron, steel, or aluminum and come in various styles, including panel, column, or traditional cast iron designs.
• Operation: Water heated by a boiler is pumped into the radiators. The radiator surface emits radiant heat to warm the room, and some convection occurs as air passes over the heated surface.
When sizing boiler, Multiply 30 BTU/Sq. Ft. Hr. by total sq. ft. Example: 1200 Sq. Ft. x 30 BTU = 36,000. Your BTU requirements for 1200 Sq. Ft. would be 36,000 BTU, with good insulation quality.
Baseboard or Radiators can only be used with all of our High Temp Gas or Electric Boilers. Check your Radiator/Panel for boiler compatibility.
Benefits of Baseboard / Radiator Heat

Comfortable
Maintain balanced room comfort even after the thermostat turns off for extended periods of time.

Efficient
Thermostats will cycle on and off less frequently which lowers the energy usage and your bill!

Safe for Kids and Pets
A safe choice for rooms where children and pets play. With a low surface temperature, they are cooler to the touch and won't burn little hands or paws.

Healthy
Radiant heat is healthier than forced-air systems because it doesn't circulate dust and allergens through the air.
